Why You Want to Hostess Coach Yourself

Remember when I said there are some things in your direct sales business you can control, some you can influence and some that are totally out of your hands? Hostess coaching falls under the things you can influence even though it seems like it is totally out of your hands.

The good news is that your booking event is an excellent time to practice your hostess coaching skills. The even better news is that it is the only time you can control her because you are her. I know it seems weird to go through the motions of hostess coaching yourself, but it will serve you well not only for this party but for future parties.

Individually invite everyone. Follow up with everyone. When you’re hostess coaching the hostesses who schedule from your booking event, you’ll be able to speak from experience and not theory. You can even direct her to the text message you sent her two days before your booking event. She can copy and paste it and send it to her list. If you don’t do the little things that you want her to do, she won’t do them either.

Your booking event models an ideal party, and that starts with hostess coaching and continues at the party with the atmosphere, the structure, etc. If you don’t want kids at your parties, make sure your kids aren’t there. If you like to set up your display in the kitchen, set it up in your kitchen. And be sure you have a private checkout area that is within earshot of the party.

Finally, before your booking event, go over your presentation to be sure you have sprinkled the hostess opportunity throughout it. I’ve given you a few examples of what to say in the Success Guide. Your guests will be primed for you to offer them the hostesses opportunity when they are at the checkout stage of your booking event. Filling your calendar in one night is why you set up this event.
